Telling the truth in a liar country

    Do you imagine a place where everybody lies? Imagine been the only one honest person in that place. How sad would you feel? What would you do? Are you going to stay being the same? Or Are you going to become someone else? How can a person be aware of an issue and do nothing to solve it? That's what most Dominicans do.

   Some months ago, a battle began in Dominican Republic. It is called " La marcha verde"  they have gone throughout the country asking people to give their signatures against corruption. Artists, singers, tv hosts , actors, newscasters and even politicians say out loud that they are fighting against dishonesty. But , How can They say that? How can They be so hypocrites? How can they say they are not part of this putrefaction?

  They are lying! When they say they are in love with someone but they have sex with politicians for benefits, when they break the traffic' s laws and pay to the police to get away with it, when they throw garbage on streets, when politicians promise to solve their nation's problems but they forget about their pledges and devote all their time to stealing our money. They are liars! We are all liars! When we cheat on an exam, when we commit plagiarism, when we don't pay for certain services, when we take something someone has lots, when we see others committing crime and we don't turn them in, for those and many other reasons we are all corrupted! We are all liars living in a liar country!          
I think " La marcha verde" is a real good step to clean our country from corruption. But we all should start revising ourselves' actions to continue this battle.

The Bold and the Bashful

Hello, everyone, We all certainly have personality traits that distinguish us from each other. Unit three tells us about two very specific features, which are boldness and bashfulness. In my view, it is funny to see that people would talk about these two features as completely separated from each other to describe others. That is, I do not believe they can be used this way. We cannot use either of these adjectives to entirely describe a person because no one is one thing or the other in its entirety. That is to say, even the people you might consider that possess a great amount of boldness are somehow also bashful, and the same thing occurs with people who are bashful; they can also be bold depending on the circumstances. 🕊️Spiritual Renewal🕊️  Unit 6 ✝️To replenish my soul, to be closer to God, walk with him, and lead a better life you have to read or study the Bible, and when you do it, ask God to give you the wisdom to understand it, to understand the message, you can learn a verse each week or each month, You can make "cilicios" and fast, people do not like to fast or sometimes time is not enough, as we saw in unit 6.
