The bold and the Bashful

In this unit, we saw the differences between these types of personality traits. Bold is a person sociable, talkative and outgoing while bashful means shy and reserved.

I consider myself to be bold because I love to express my ideas all the time. I feel good when I can talk freely about any topic. I believe that being bashful has many handicaps for instance: when you are shy, most of the time you have low self esteem therefore you are afraid of Taking risks or meeting new people.

On the other hand, when you are bold you get the chance to interchange ideas and opinions regularly. You can learn easily and you can make strong connections with people that can help you in the future.Moreover, being shy can stop you from growing at work since you are not connected with  people.Thus, you can miss many opportunities.

Furthermore, people make false assumptions on bashful people. They are thought to be senseless because they rather not talk but these people can be smarter that you think. For this reason, we must accept people the way they are because everybody is different. Whenever you encounter a shy person, try to help the without criticizing them.At the end of the day you will never know who can be a helping hand when you are in need.

SENTENCES:

1-She has always been very reticent.

2- Not having kids is ine of my biggest phobias.

3-I am very extroverted, I can start a conversation with anybody.

4-Each medication has adverse effects.

5-He suffers from a chronic disease.

6-We have so much in common, I think we are kindred souls.

7- Working long hours is a handicap of being a doctor.

8-After their divorce, they remained aloof.

The Bold and the Bashful

Hello, everyone, We all certainly have personality traits that distinguish us from each other. Unit three tells us about two very specific features, which are boldness and bashfulness. In my view, it is funny to see that people would talk about these two features as completely separated from each other to describe others. That is, I do not believe they can be used this way. We cannot use either of these adjectives to entirely describe a person because no one is one thing or the other in its entirety. That is to say, even the people you might consider that possess a great amount of boldness are somehow also bashful, and the same thing occurs with people who are bashful; they can also be bold depending on the circumstances.
