Spiritual Renewal

Like most of Dominicans, I was baptized in the catholic faith when I was not even able to make a decision about it. I have never been a churchgoer but I do respect people who refrain themselves from earthly things such as: drinking, smoking, having sex and on, because they do this as a demonstration of love, fear and respect to God. Following this path is not easy at all therefore I truly admire people who sacrifice for what they think is right. 

Sentences with Vocabulary:

2-Since she became Christian, she has lead an ascetic life.

3-I have never practiced fasting.

4-She claimed to hear a divine voice.

5-I am tired of this hectic life, I am planning to go on vacation to the country.

8-I am overweight so I need to refrain from eating junk food.

9-You must have a strong will to achieve your goals.

10-I want to foster my listening skills.

11-It is important to express gratitute to people when they help you.

12- Humility is an important value.

The Bold and the Bashful

Hello, everyone, We all certainly have personality traits that distinguish us from each other. Unit three tells us about two very specific features, which are boldness and bashfulness. In my view, it is funny to see that people would talk about these two features as completely separated from each other to describe others. That is, I do not believe they can be used this way. We cannot use either of these adjectives to entirely describe a person because no one is one thing or the other in its entirety. That is to say, even the people you might consider that possess a great amount of boldness are somehow also bashful, and the same thing occurs with people who are bashful; they can also be bold depending on the circumstances. 🕊️Spiritual Renewal🕊️  Unit 6 ✝️To replenish my soul, to be closer to God, walk with him, and lead a better life you have to read or study the Bible, and when you do it, ask God to give you the wisdom to understand it, to understand the message, you can learn a verse each week or each month, You can make "cilicios" and fast, people do not like to fast or sometimes time is not enough, as we saw in unit 6. If they knew how important it is to fast, that it can help them both in the physical and spiritual lives, They did it; but the best thing of all is to pray, to connect with God, humble yourself before God, Tell him what is happening to you, talk to him, and don't be proud, be humble.✝️ Finally I want to share with you a link or a video about the prayer.
