This unit is about workplace privacy that refers to employers that are worried about employees wasting time visiting inappropriate websites or making personal phone calls.
Employers hire workers to perform specific activities, so the time that employees spend taking care of private issue may seem wasteful for the employer, so employers may monitor employee activities to determine which workers are wasting time.
For example, employers can use computer which allows them to see what is on the screen, even hard disks, web surfing and emails.
There are more and more ways to monitor an employee; however, according to some studies monitoring on worker performance encrease the level of workers stress and lower the productivity.
